PLEASE NOTE: Simply put, these Heating Elements are ugly and appear to have missed the cleaning step that pretties them up after the manufacturing process. Some recipients might even wonder if they are indeed new elements. Yes, they are new. Both Stefano’s Espresso Care and our supplier aren’t pleased with the way they look (some are more visually challenged than others), but none of that will affect their ability to function. And since they will be inside of the boiler, you (fortunately) will not have to look at them once installed.

Installation tip: To protect your new element, consider leaving one HE wire disconnected until you’re certain the boiler is properly primed and element is submersed.

Note: From batch to batch, we receive 2 different versions of this heating element; one which takes a Teflon gasket ring and another which seals with an O-ring. If you order a Teflon gasket with a new Heating Element, we will send the proper gasket or o-ring based on the flange.

It is always recommended to replace the H.E. Gasket as well. If you instead choose to use your old gasket/O-ring, we cannot guarantee that the new element will work with your old sealing component. If you are just replacing a leaking O-ring or gasket, then you should of course replace it with the same item. For the O-ring, order the Teflon gasket and write “replace with O-ring 2103” in the comments section, which is at the end of the check out process.
