Does it ever happen that your Silvia Brew switch is accidentally left on? And then the machine gets powered on and you don’t notice that water starts flowing out of the group, emptying the reservoir, creating a lake on your countertop, and eventually burning up the pump?
This kit, developed from a combination of “old” Rancilio home espresso machine parts and the more recent Silvia PRO, will help prevent damage to the pump and other components. When the reservoir’s water level goes down to a dangerous level, our simple-to-install Safety Pump Protection Kit will cut power to the unit. See a video on how to install it here.
NOTE: Air Trap must be standing up inside the reservoir and free or air or it will not work. The Rancilio Silvia water reservoir has a footing made specifically for the air trap to be inserted standing up.
This Kit can be use on any single stage boiler espresso machines reservoir IF you can install the air trap in a secure vertical position.
